Pakistan AI Centers of Excellence (Pak AI CoE)

From Karachi’s 12-hub pilot to a 100-hub national AI skills and innovation grid.

Connecting existing experience to new AI qualifications

Many learners already work with spreadsheets, point-of-sale systems, industrial controllers or basic programming but have no formal qualification. Recognition of Prior Learning lets them convert existing skills into NVQF-recognised AI pathways.

Structured RPL process

  • Initial diagnostic interview and short assessments to map current skills against Pak AI CoE competency standards.
  • Portfolio review of past work such as scripts, dashboards, maintenance logs or software projects.
  • Gap training modules that fill only the missing competencies rather than forcing a learner to repeat content.

Benefits for learners

  • Faster route to certification for people who have learned informally or on the job.
  • Lower overall cost because only genuine gaps are trained.
  • Clear progression from existing qualifications or experience into AI technician and AI developer tracks.

Benefits for employers and TVET providers

  • Ability to benchmark in-house staff against national AI competency standards.
  • Short, targeted upskilling plans instead of sending staff through long generic courses.
  • Evidence for HR and accreditation bodies that skills in critical AI roles are formally assessed and documented.
